Google's Android Wear Smartwatches (LG G & Moto 360)

Officially announced by Google, Android Wear is Google's Android/Nexus platform for smartwatches/wearables. As for specifics on the OS, hardware and watch itself, not much was given. However, we do know brands such as HTC, LG, Motorola, Samsung and Asus are all lined up to create the Android Wear smartwatches for consumers late this year. Fossil is also included in the mix, but probably for fashion reasons. We do know that Android wear will be utilizing it's hands-free 'Ok Google' to get updated content, send text, place calls, etc. much like with the Google Glass.

Since the announcement today, two company, LG and Motorola, have announced their line of Android Wear smartwatches, dub LG G and Moto 360.

LG G

LG is keeping hush about the specs. But noted from the above image, you can see that use of Google Now on the smartwatch.

Motorola has put thought on designing a classic timepiece, with a more traditional and premium look. Unlike other smartwatches currently on the market, it is had a circular look, with a digital interface.

Android Beta Testing: Facebook Messenger

Facebook is allowing Android mobile users to opt-in access to the latest version of Messenger for Android before it is release to the general public. Anyone can join and you'll receive patches/fixes and new features every month. All they ask in return is that you when you see something buggy or unstable, to report it to Facebook. Do note, since this is a beta version of Facebook Messenger, it will be less stable. If you wish to leave the testing, all you have to do is uninstall Facebook Messenger, and re-install it from the Google Play store.

Interested?
1) Join the Facebook Messenger for Android Beta Testers Google group: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/messenger-for-android-beta-testers2) Allow beta downloads by clicking "Become a Tester" in the Play Store (you need to join the Google Group before becoming a tester)3) Download Facebook Messenger from the Play Store to update your app4) Turn on automatic updates, as the beta version of Facebook Messenger for Android will be updated multiple times per week
That simple! Happy Beta Testing!

Leaked iOS 8 Images

At first glance, you're probably thinking 'What's Different?' Well other than the icons being back with rounded edges, not much has changed from iOS 7. But wait, what are those new icons we see: Preview, TextEdit, Tips and Healthbook. As you can see from the Healthbook icon, there is three levels of color: Red is Blood Pressure, Orange is Calories Burned and Green is Heart Rate

Here's what we know about Preview and TextEdit via 9to5Mac:
Apple is developing versions of the Mac operating system’s Preview and TextEdit applications that are optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The applications are said to not be designed to actually edit PDFs, images, or text documents. Instead, the apps are built to serve as tools to view Preview and TextEdit files stored in iCloud by OS X. Apple added iCloud synchronization for Preview and TextEdit with OS X Mountain Lion, but has not yet released iOS counterparts to actually view the synchronized content.
Suggestions of the new icons probably means that this new iOS will probably ship with the new iPhone 6, when it is announced later this year.
