Returning 3rd Gen iPad:
Now, if you are one those people that happen to buy an iPad within 30 days prior to Tuesday's announcement of the new iPad, some Apple stores will exchange it for the new iPad.
According to CNET, at least one Apple store (the Stockton Street branch in San Francisco) is offering a free upgrade to a fourth-gen iPad for those that picked up the 9.7-inch tablet in the last month. However, a manager at the 5th Ave shop in NYC told us this isn't a company-wide policy. Instead its up to individual stores to decide whether or not to offer the extended exchange period, or simply stick with the standard 14-day return policy. We called a few locations and most don't appear to be willing to make the trade, though the branch in the Mall at Millenia in Orlando, FL is playing ball. We can't guarantee success, but it can't hurt to give your local shop a call.
Sprint offering iPad LTE!
Also, now added to list of US Carriers carrying the iPad is Sprint! Here is the break down of their pricing for the new 4th Gen iPad LTE. The prices start at 300MB/$14.99, 3GB/$34.99, 6GB/$49.99, or 12GB for $79.99. There are also $10 and $15 offers for customers that also have Sprint smartphones that offer 100MB and 1GB of data, respectively, and activation fees for all 3G/4G tablets are being waived for a limited time.
