The court has finally ruled it's case on the peer-to-peer media site, LimeWire. It has been decided that LimeWire will in fact pay $105 million to major record Labels. CEO Mark Gorton is please that the court case finally came to an agreement. LimeWire software was taken off the internet back in December of 2010, when called to go to court in October 2010 to pay for royalties. But that hasn't stop people from 'sharing.' There's an edition of the LimeWire known as LimeWire Pirate Edition, which can be download and used at your own risk.
Since the court was able to settle this case on one of the largest P2P software giant, it is now looking to similar sites, such as The Pirate Bay, which lost a court case a while back, but still is up an running.
