iPhone 5 launch date Announced! Sept. 12th

That's right...you're wait is almost over! Apple just sent the above image invite to members of the press to join them in San Francisco for the announcement of the new iPhone 5 or "iPhone."  Engadget will be doing a live blog session next week during your lunch hour!

To follow next month in October, Apple will be announcing it new 7-inch iPad.
