UPDATE: THIS IS YOUR NEXUS 7...Is this your new Nexus 7' Tablet

UPDATE: While writing this article, Engadget has reported the above leaked imaged of the new Nexus 7 from Google.  The story is currently developing.

The above image could be the next Nexus 7' Tablet from Google.  There have been rumors about Google's new tablet, that it will be running the latest flavor OS from Google, code named Jelly Bean (4.1).  Gizmodo Austrilia was able to obtain a training document for the new tablet that could possible be revealed at Google's I/0 2012 Conferene today (June 27, 2012).

"As rumoured, Google’s going to announce a 7-inch, Nexus-branded tablet called the Nexus 7. According to the leak, it’s built by Asus, with a 1.3Ghz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, GeForce 12-core GPU and 1GB of RAM with two different storage variants: 8GB and 16GB.

The Nexus tablet will also feature NFC and run Google Wallet (probably only in the US) and Android Beam.

The screen is an IPS display with a 178-degree viewing angle, running a resolution of 1280×800. The device will also sport a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. The battery will also give you nine hours worth of operation.

The 8GB model will set you back $US199 and the 16GB will cost $US249. No word in the document on local prices."

About the ASUS branding, just today, Engadget reported that the new tablet will be co-branded with the ASUS Brand via the FCC.  And with the updated imaged leaked before the conference, it does indeed show the ASUS brand.  This is so the tablet can compete with the Kindle Fire in the Amazon market.
