Apple v. Samsung: Apple Wins..Ready to ban 8 Samsung devices

This past Friday, the jury in the Apple vs. Samsung case reached a verdict favoring that Samsung has indeed infringed Apple's property (Samsung copying the look and feel of the the iPhone with the Galaxy S).  Samsung is to pay damages to Apple totaling over $1Billion!  Of course, Samsung will receive nothing from this case.

Since then, Apple has wasted no time on deciding on the following 8 Samsung devices they would like to see banned in the US.  Some of the following devices are not even available in the US.

Galaxy S 4G
Galaxy S2 (AT&T)
Galaxy S2 (Skyrocket)
Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile)
Galaxy S2 Epic 4G
Galaxy S Showcase
Droid Charge
Galaxy Prevail

Samsung is currently in the talks with mobile carries to update their phones facing injunctions.  Could this ultimately hurt consumer electrons industry, effecting both companies and consumers? Only time can tell.
