It's the last weekend before school starts, bummer, I know...which is why this article is a day late. Today's Free application is one you've probably heard of hundreds of times. You've probably never picked up a Kindle in your life or downloaded the free reading app for your device, but now that mostly ever book and textbook are becoming digital by the day, you may want to consider it.
The Kindle E-books and e-textbooks are becoming ever so popular with college students. For one, they are cheaper (so more money for those ramen noodles), second they are mobile and can be taken anywhere on any mobile device you can think of and thirdly, you don't have to carry those heavy books or worry about forgetting them in your dorm (cause, you never forget your laptop/tablet or phone, right?)
The Kindle App is Free and is compatible with mostly any device, including desktops versions for PC and Mac. Amazon does frequently hold specials on it's e-books, but e-textbooks not so much. Though price difference is significantly lower then purchasing the regular paperback book.
So classes resume tomorrow and usually the first week is getting to know your class and going over the class syllabus. And if you haven't purchased the required text, go to Amazon.com and key in the ISBN and consider downloading the Kindle version. At least, if you purchase the Kindle version, you don't have to pay shipping and wait until it arrives, cause it will download instantly! Download today!
Have a great Fall 2012 Semester!
