Galaxy S4 To Be Revealed @ CES 2013?

CES 2013 is just around the corner, and tech news outlets are preparing for the bomb shell of newly announced tech toys and gadgets.  But, what is this about the Galaxy S4 being reveled at CES?  I mean, wasn't the Galaxy S3 just released 7 months ago? (I know, sounds long, but really hasn't been!)

Anyways, Samsung will NOT be announcing the new Galaxy S4 at CES.  INSTEAD, it has been reported that Jay Lee of Samsung will be at CES  showing the progress that has been made on the S4 to several of his partners behind closed doors.

Samsung doesn't typically announced a new flagship at CES, it usually waits until Mobile World Congress in February or they may do a press conference like they did back in May 2012 when they officially announced the S3, so they can get all the media attention.

What do we know so far about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy flagship phone.  Well, reports have it that it will have a 5-inch screen, 1080p AMOLED display and powered by the ARM Cortex A15 w/ Enynos 5440.  Anyways, if we do hear anything about the S4, details of it may be leaked out next week, or possibly February,  but more likely in April.

Ubuntu OS for Smartphones - Coming in 2014

Remember yesterday I posted that Ubuntu's homepage has a count down to something mysterious today?  Well, its been reveled. And as we excepted from the "So close, you can almost touch it" wording on the count down, it is indeed a mobile OS for smartphones!

There's just show much this once standalone Linux OS has to offer as a mobile OS. And it's ever so sleek! You have to view the website in source link below and as well the video!

So here's what the internet knows so far about the new OS:
The Verge: "Thumb gestures from the edge of the screen will play a big role in navigation — Canonical says that swiping in from the four different edges of the screen will let users switch apps and search for content. A short swipe from the left side of the screen brings up a dock of your favorite apps, while a full left-to-right swipe will pull up all of your open apps. Swipes from the right let you flip back through the apps you're running..."

Engadget: "...there are no immediate plans for actual Ubuntu phones, and no carriers have been signed up yet. Any new phone built for Android with at least a dual Cortex-A9 cores, a gig of RAM and 800 x 400 resolution could run this OS, should a manufacturer see merit in installing Ubuntu instead, and high spec 720p, quad-core phones should do wonders with it."

Phones that plan to run the OS will ship in early 2014. Though, if you are itching to try the new OS before everyone else, a Galaxy Nexus-compatible build will be available for download within the next few weeks!

More will be revealed as CES 2013 rolls around soon!
